Gas for occasional use
A blimp takes about 170 cubic feet to fill, roughly $255. A 200 cubic foot cylinder is about $300 from a local welding-gas supplier.
Flown for a long weekend at a time you will lose very little between fills, so a cylinder covers several holiday weekends. That is a very different gas bill from someone flying year round.
Set up the supplier account once and keep the cylinder. Ask about rental terms on the first call.
Or rent it for the weekend, in Phoenix and Tucson
In greater Phoenix and Tucson we run it for you: balloon, helium, install, weather monitoring and removal. $247.25 a day for a balloon, $297.25 for a blimp.
A single holiday weekend is $594.50 for a blimp. Do that for two or three holidays a year and renting wins. Do it for eight and buying wins.
Billed the Monday after, no contract, no minimum.
