Not all plastic stakes are ABS. I’d purchased some other plastic tent stakes before these & one of them broke when pounding it into the ground. If you decide to buy plastic stakes, make sure they are ABS. They may bend or warp a bit over time with heavy pounding, but the Adams Manufacturing ABS stakes will not break. I highly recommend these over any metal stake on the market. Metal stakes rattle around & are noisy, as well as bend if they strike a rock or hard root. Adams Manufacturing 5550-02-3340 Tent Stake, Black, 6-Pack I’m using the stakes to keep a 10×16 tarp in place on a load of firewood. They’ve been in the ground for 6-7 weeks now and have not budged. Good stakes. I’ll buy more of these should the need arise.
Best stakes ever!! These are the very best stakes I have ever used! They hold my Christmas lights and reindeer so tight even in near tornado strength winds they didn’t blow away. Also very easy to clamp down on the lights and displays because of the hooks on both sides. These will be the only stakes I use from now on.
