Poor QC + cost cutting = an inadequate product Let me start by saying that this is my fifth large inflatable just for Halloween, and that I have used large inflatable Halloween decorations for about ten years. That said this cat is by miles the worst inflatable I have seen in terms of overall quality. It arrived with a stretch of unsewn seam on one foot by the anchor tag. That to me shows poor QC since the foot was losing air at a noticeable rate. The real kicker though is the size of the pump used to inflate it. This item is my second…
This really shouldn’t be sold for outdoor use. Pretty flimsy and NOT AT ALL WATER-PROOF. It’s irresponsible of them to sell this for outdoor use–plan on taking it down every night, or at least unplugging it. Also, I dropped the blower motor housing about two feet onto a wooden deck and multiple pieces broke off.I’ll be surprised if I get more than one season out of it.
Great looking cat. I wish it wouldn’t self decapitate. It is awesome when it works. But, we have had difficulty with it self-decapitating (the head pops off the body) ever since it’s first inflation. It appears to have a screw that the head rotates around that is not firmly attached to the rest of the cat. I guess what’s going to be important is how responsive the company is to fixing the problem. I fear that self-decapitation is an engineer flaw. I hope it isn’t because the cat looks absolutely awesome in my yard, when he stays inflated…
